Difficult on to do without getting carried away by the last 12 minutes of sheer joy but I shall try and be true to the performances over the whole game and not just the winning snippet

Adrian 9 MOTM - Nothing he could do for the two well worked Everton goals but then pull off a penalty save and a string of stop to keep the score at 2-0 which built the platform for victory.

Cresswell 6 - Has left his poor early season form well behind him and was once again solid in defence but going forward, although he got in plenty of good positions his final ball was often lacking

Kouyate 8 - Now I know he played most of his career prior to joining us as a defender and I was a little critical of his form a while back but he's showing week in week out his importance to the cause in different positions. Really good display

Ogbonna 7 - Good performance in a makeshift defence, the player has a real touch of quality about him and no real shock to see him linked to other teams.

Oxford 6 - Deserved his start and really can't be to critical he didn't get tight to Lukaku as the striker scored his 8th in 8 games against us but it was right tactically he was the one to make way.

Antonio 7 - Fast becoming the star of the show, leaves nothing on the pitch as he works so hard and once more scored a vital goal, his first away from home.

Lanzini 7 - Really great to watch on the ball, works hard for the team and for me has it all in his locker

Payet 7 - Ok here's the tricky one, for the best part of 80 minutes he was poor, can't really blame him having to share the field with players from hatchet FC but what a last 10 minutes, one sublime ball and one sublime goal to win it and boy did he enjoy that.

Obiang 6 - A player I really like, maybe not quiet at the same heights of form he showed recently but this was ok from him

Noble 7 - You know like Obiang maybe on the whole his football wasn't as good as of late but what a ball for the first goal and what a captain, first making sure Taylor showed the Everton hatchet job the red and bollocked his players for taking to long celebrating the 2nd goal. A real leader.

Emenike 6 - Had a decent chance first half and worked his socks off again

Song 6 - OK he tripped the Everton player outside the box for the penalty but that aside he played some really nice, tidy football

Carroll 6 - I'm a little torn here, I'm in the camp that believe Carroll is an excellent footballer that can play with the ball at his feet but in that area he was very poor but the space he created and roll in the winner were vital to this victory.

Sakho 7 - Back with a bang, looked right up for it and caused Everton problems the moment he stepped onto the pitch and of course scored the vital goal.

Excellent summary
I thought Oxford played well he made one tackle I think on Lukaku just inside the box taking the ball cleanly and used the ball well

Kouyate was my MOTM. Absolutely superb defender. What a beast.

Oxford although lost Lakaku for the goal showed some brilliant touches and some great passing on the deck.

6 for Creswell is well out... thought he put in some excellent crosses, not just the one for the winner.

Re: Players ratings.....
Why have you written " the best part of 80 mins he was poor" in reference to Payet.

For the best part of 80 mins the whole team were DOGSHIT.

I know you lot on here are pretty easy to please under Bilic but that performance was fucking unacceptable and the worrying thing is its not for the 1st time is it?

Slaven "lucky" Bilic

Re: Players ratings.....
A performance like that and only 2 players ranked over 7?

Cresswell 6?

Have you never watched West Ham at places like Everton before yesterday?

Vodka_Jay 1:25 Sun Mar 6
Re: Players ratings.....
Agree with most of that except Cresswell who i thought had a good game and was atleast a 7

Fordstar/Rodfarts IS NOT A WEST HAM SUPPORTER.

One of the most satisfying things for me is Sakho. I was worried that he was a one-season wonder, but he's been great when he's played this season.

"Have you never watched West Ham at places like Everton before yesterday? "

Yes many time including yesterday thanks and my marks are based on the players performance, not what ground they were playing in.

Maybe Cresswell performance looked better from your armchair?

Re: Players ratings.....
Let's not be too harsh on Rodfarts. His son Diego Rodfarts Junior is some player by all accounts and may well grace the OS one day.

It's guaranteed that he will be able to go for the full 90 mins, like his old man from Southend to Heathrow.

I enjoy reading other people's reflections on a game, I might not agree but so what, all about differing opinions.

Re: Players ratings.....
Creswell would have 3 assists in the first half If Emineke was a better striker 'final ball was often lacking' is a bad judgement of his performance. He had one bad delivery from 5/6 attempts

Re: Players ratings.....
Sorry but Cresswell was by a long way our best player yesterday. He was fantastic and carried us for 80 minutes till the rest woke up
